Twendelee Women’s Group

JYMG is a proud to offer hand-crafted women's purses designed by the Twendelee Women's Group, a Nairobi, Kenya-based women’s entrepreneur self-help cooperative project. TWENDELEE is a Swahili word meaning ‘let us develop.’ Originating in the second-largest slum in Nairobi; the community of Kawangare, members are locally trained artisans in bead-work and sewing. The women design and make women’s handbags, beaded bowls and jewelry.
