D.K. Johnson brings more than twenty years of professional broadcast news, production, film and video editing experience to the JYMG team.
She has numerous documentary projects to her credit and offers an unparalleled commitment to film and storytelling excellence. Johnson is a movie-maker, producer, videographer and editor.
A graduate of the prestigious Miami Dade School of Entertainment and Design Technology, Johnson has partnered with leading producers in news production and created projects for some of the top journalists in the news field. Her experience includes projects with South Florida’s top-rated Fox platform of WSVN Channel 7 as well as KGPE News 47, SMP and Newsmax TV Her most recent award-winning creations can be found at the City of Miami Beach Communications department.
Johnson is credited with writing and directing the short film “Perfect Timing” chosen as one of the finalist for the Langston Hughes Film Festival in Seattle, Washington.
